Ramsay of Carluke top the QED haggis poll

For the Grand Finale of Charcuterie & Co, eager voters assembled in the event tent to decide on the QED Favourite Haggis. Representatives of different styles of "beastie" were prepared and, forks rampant, our tasters dug in. As adjectives flew (creamy, well-seasoned and granular were just three being bandied about as the different haggis were served), the voters made their choice: Ramsay of Carluke came out a short head (snout?) in front of the venison offering from Findlay's of Portobello. In the ensuing head-to-head of black pudding, Macleod's of Stornoway topped the Ginger Pig. And we couldn't report on the finale without mentioning the Sabadiego from Flavours of Spain which we served as an aftertaste, which was so delicious that one consumer was left licking the paper plate dry.
